Re: What school do you recommend?

Woodroffe is early French Immersion up to Grade 3 and then it is mostly English from Grade 4 to 6 but with on-going French instruction. My son speaks French with no accent so learning early has its advantages.

Local Remembrance Day Service

If you are not able to attend the service of remembrance downtown on Nov 11th  consider instead going before 11 am to the flag pole area near the Trolley Station in Britannia Park for a local remembrance day service involving elementary students from local schools and military representatives.

We--BBC--are ok with either June 7 or 14. I think this time is better than later in the summer when more people are away--esp in August.

Re: Remembrance Day in Britannia

The cenotaoh is near the Trolly Station and located around the flag pole .  A local artist did the poppy tiles but the poppy designs are from children from 3 local schools.

Re: Make a Difference

Thanks for the suggestion. Most of the groups providing furniture do not handle washers/dryers. I will try to see if something at a reasonable price comes up on Used Ottawa or Kijiji. We have already gathered other things for this family so the washer/dryer is still a priority.

Re: Adopt a Family

Hi Cavell--I match a couple, single person or family up with a family in need, have that family do up a wish list, pass that on to the helping family/couple/individual, then connect the two parties so the items can be delivered--unless a family/couple/individual wants to be anonymous. I believe in acco...
